Jean Farris Winery & Bistro 6825 Old Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY 40515 -- 859-263-9463 This is an excellent destination for a party bus. You can make this a stop on the wine tour. You can try different wines here for good prices. They also have a restaurant where you can get some delicious food to go with the wine you have purchased. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The whole staff really knows what their doing. If you are unsure of what wine to have with your meal, the wait staff would be happy to make a recommendation.
Hall's on the River 1225 Athens Boonesboro Rd, Winchester, KY 40391 -- 859-527-6620 The riverside restaurant is great for some Southern comfort food. For an appetizer, try the beer cheese. It's delicious. For your entree, try some good ole' Southern catfish. You waitress will explain the menu if there are any items you don't know what is involved. Hall's on the River had some spectacular views. Don't worry, they serve more than food here. You can get some draft beer or other common restaurant drinks to quench your thirst.
The Chop House 2640 Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY 40509 -- 859-268-9555 The Chop House is an informal steak house, meaning you don't have to dress fancy to get in. Their meat, like all the steak, seafood, prime rib, and pork, is all the top U.S.D.A or U.S.D.C quality, inspected meat. They grill them up on Montague ovens which sear in juices and natural flavors at temperatures over 1800 degrees. The Chop House really cares for their customers and their experience. If anything happens to go wrong, they'll try their best to make sure that it's fixed.
